- Buyer profile — the answers you give about the kind of business you're looking for.
- What you enter and upload — calculator inputs, financials, and documents (such as a CIM) you submit for analysis.
- Basic usage data — which tools you run and when, so we can keep the service working and fix problems.
How we use it
- To run the tools you ask for and show you your results.
- To send you a one-time sign-in link when you create an account or sign in.
- To review analyses for quality and improve how our tools work.
- To build aggregate, anonymized benchmarks (for example, typical multiples by industry). These never identify you or a specific business.
- To send the newsletter, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
What we never do
- We never share your inputs, documents, or contact details with brokers, sellers, or lenders.
- We never sell your personal information.
- We never add you to marketing emails you didn't ask for.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information and the analyses you run while your account is active, so you can come back to them and so we can review quality and maintain aggregate benchmarks. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove your account, documents, and analyses. Email hello@businessvaluecalculator.com from the address on your account.
Services we rely on
We use trusted providers to run the service: hosting and file storage, sign-in email delivery, and an AI model provider that processes the documents you submit so we can produce your analysis. Each provider only receives what it needs to do its job. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Your choices
- You can update or remove your phone number and LinkedIn profile at any time.
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any issue.
- You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it.

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and note the new date at the top.
